As we wrap up the year, we’re thrilled to spotlight Executive MBA student Alaa Aziz, a dynamic leader in digital product strategy and entrepreneurship. This year, Alaa reached an exciting milestone when he took the stage at the renowned Techne Summit in Alexandria, Egypt, to share his expertise with thousands of entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders from across the region.
Balancing Innovation with Strategy at Techne Summit
The Techne Summit, held in October, brought together over 30,000 attendees, 400 speakers, and 1,000 startups from 70 countries. As one of the event’s featured speakers, Alaa delivered an impactful session titled Entrepreneurial Product Portfolio Management: Balancing Innovation with Strategy.
In his session, Alaa explored how entrepreneurial principles can be applied to product portfolio management, helping mid-level professionals drive innovation while aligning initiatives with broader business goals. A key highlight of his talk was his discussion of the MoAR (Metric Over Available Resources) framework, a tool used by companies like Amazon and Apple to prioritize resources for maximum impact.
“In a world where speed is everything, it’s easy to lose sight of the long-term picture,” Alaa noted. “Smart prioritization—balancing quick wins with future growth—makes all the difference.”
The session provided attendees with actionable insights into how to manage diverse portfolios while fostering sustainable growth. For Alaa, the experience was a testament to the importance of sharing knowledge and connecting with a global community of innovators.
